That's a really poorly thought out comment. Go read the other Big Lebowski reviews out there. Many of them miss several of the themes / details presented in this video.

Very clever name Brad-I'm gonna go ahead and guess you are about 12. YES 99% of everything said in the video is was obvious if you are even the slightest Lebowski fan. I picked up on most of the stuff the first time i saw the movie.
The movie is fucking awesome-one of my all time favorites-love everything Lebowski, but as I said, I thought most of the commentary was obvious.

rob u gotta chill out man. i liked some of the other fim anylisis you have done-like The Shining, just didn't think there was anything that shocking about this one. I don't think "it's a poorly thought out comment" just because i disagree with you. Maybe you should watch the movie one more time, be like the dude, roll a j & just relax. it's just opinions, man :) dont get so mad

excellent analysis!! very detailed and insightful. i've watched the big lebowski dozens of times and still didn't put my finger on most of the themes and ideas that you are raising here.

I started to notice the re-used dialogue, too, among other things shown in these videos. This is a really good analysis. It makes me feel good that I was on the same track as this guy. This has revealed a lot about the movie to me. This movie is so complex, it's so amazing.

why did donny have to die? Seems to me that his purpose in the film was to be the 'passive male character'. He was on the fast track to what dude and walter feared the most. He wasn't sexual. He had essentially already been castrated by Walter and society. Donny's death was hard to accept. because he was the least combative.... even when faced with abuse from his friends.
so to me... the moral is as follows....
fuck....fuck yourself....or be fucked

very good analysis! and I see that this theme of the weaken man of the emasculated society we are living is present in other Coen movies as well, like A Serious Man, Burn After Reading and The Man Who Wasn't There.
